Overview

MiniBoard ("the App") is a community board application for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use MiniBoard.

Information We Collect

MiniBoard collects the following information to provide its community features:

Anonymous User ID: A unique identifier generated automatically when you first use the App. This ID is not linked to your real identity.
Display Name (optional): If you choose to set a display name, it will be visible to other users alongside your posts and comments.
User-Generated Content: Posts, comments, and likes you create within the App.
Images: Photos or images you upload as part of your posts.
Email Address (optional): If you choose to link an email address to your account for authentication purposes.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide and improve the MiniBoard service:

To display your posts, comments, and profile to other users.
To authenticate your account and enable you to access your content across devices.
To facilitate content moderation and enforce community guidelines.

Third-Party Services

MiniBoard uses the following Firebase services provided by Google:

Firebase Authentication: To manage user accounts, including anonymous sign-in and optional email authentication.
Firebase Firestore: To store user-generated content such as posts, comments, and likes.
Firebase Storage: To store images uploaded by users.

These services are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or any other analytics or advertising services.

Analytics and Tracking

MiniBoard does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks. We do not track user behavior or share data with advertisers.

Content Moderation

Users can report content that violates community guidelines. Reported content will be reviewed, and appropriate action will be taken, which may include removal of the content and suspension of the responsible account.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You have the right to:

Delete individual posts and comments at any time through the App.
Delete your account and all associated data through the App's settings. Upon account deletion, all your posts, comments, likes, uploaded images, and account information will be permanently removed from our servers.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data. Data transmitted between the App and Firebase services is encrypted using industry-standard TLS encryption. Access to stored data is restricted through Firebase Security Rules.

Children's Privacy

MiniBoard is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
